OVERVIEW
The whale shark is the biggest fish and shark in the world. They are docile, solitary fish that roam the oceans of the globe. Despite their size, whale sharks generally do not pose any threat to humans, often even letting divers catch a ride. Younger sharks are gentle and can play with divers. They are the largest filter feeders on the planet, surviving solely on a diet of plankton and algae.
